Flesh Juicer, a Golden Melody Award–winning metal band, was formed in Taichung in 2006. Their early work drew on themes from Taiwan’s religious and folk belief systems, reflecting on everyday life, social relationships, and issues of public safety. They creatively blended heavy metal with electronic sounds and elements of traditional pentatonic scales, forming a style that is both powerful and deeply localized.

The band’s debut album GIGO won Best Rock Album at the 6th Golden Indie Music Awards in 2015. In 2018, Fairy Tales of the Ocean Deep brought them further acclaim, earning multiple Golden Indie Music Awards and a nomination for Best Metal Song at the Independent Music Awards in the United States. Their third full-length release, GOLDEN Taizi Bro (2021), marked a new creative peak. The album received five nominations at the 12th Golden Indie Music Awards and took home three major honors: Best Live Performance, Best Band, and Best Album. In 2022, Flesh Juicer was recognized as Best Band at the 33rd Golden Melody Awards, Taiwan’s most prestigious prize in popular music.

Beyond their success at home, Flesh Juicer has steadily grown their international presence. They were commissioned by Blizzard Entertainment to compose “Blessed Mother” for Diablo IV, and have appeared at top festivals across Asia, including Clockenflap (Hong Kong), Summer Sonic and Loud Park (Japan), and Hammersonic (Indonesia’s largest metal festival). With each boundary crossed, the band continues to redefine what Taiwanese metal can be on the world stage.
