INFDARK is a fashion brand grounded in the belief that “culture is the foundation, and fashion is the medium.” It is dedicated to transforming Taiwan’s traditional culture into a language of contemporary style. Founded by designer Wei Kuo, a graduate of the Department and Graduate Institute of Fashion Design at Shih Chien University, INFDARK has from its student beginnings continually reimagined Taiwan’s vintage cultural symbols through a modern design lens. Kuo’s work has been widely recognized for its unique balance of cultural depth and broad appeal. Over the years, INFDARK has explored local cultural themes such as kám-á-tiàm (traditional mom-and-pop stores), spirit-calling rituals, the Yanshui Beehive Fireworks Festival, and the lives of Taiwan’s ama (female divers). Through fashion, the brand decodes and reinterprets these cultural motifs, shaping a forward-thinking aesthetic that blends artistic expression with everyday wearability.
Structurally, the brand is known for its signature deconstruction techniques, using architectural logic to dismantle and rebuild traditional silhouettes. The result is a series of transformative pieces designed for versatility and multi-styling. INFDARK also challenges gender boundaries by merging masculine and feminine elements, embracing a gender-fluid philosophy that defines the brand’s identity.
Design Concept
For this collaboration with the band Crescent Lament, INFDARK has created a stage wardrobe infused with cultural meaning. At the heart of the design is the brand’s iconic kám-á-tiàm print series, reimagining the nostalgic aesthetics of Taiwanese corner stores. The combination of black, white, and bold printed fabrics creates strong visual impact while maintaining a unified group identity. The look speaks vividly through symbols of Taiwanese culture.
The lead vocalist’s outfit is a striking focal point on stage. A red asymmetrical cropped top with wide sleeves is paired with a deconstructed crow feather skirt, combining drama with movement. Red—the only vivid color in the ensemble—symbolizes the central role of the vocalist and adds a sense of visual direction and intensity to the stage performance.
This collection continues INFDARK’s signature approach, emphasizing modular design and deconstruction, while responding to the dynamic needs of live music performance. By integrating local culture with functional design, INFDARK redefines the role of fashion on stage, where practicality and artistic storytelling coexist. Each garment empowers the performer to fully express themselves in the spotlight.
