Founded in 2010 by vocalist Samy Elbanna, Lost Society emerged from the city of Jyväskylä in central Finland, carrying the fire of youth and the urgency of rebellion. When the band first came together, each member was still under the age of twenty. With only two early demo recordings and a striking performance at the 2012 Global Battle of the Bands, they captured the attention of the event’s organizer, the renowned German label Nuclear Blast Records, and secured their first international contract.
In 2013, Lost Society released their debut album Fast Loud Death, which garnered critical acclaim from the global metal community and earned praise from legendary acts such as Kreator and Testament. The album announced the arrival of a band unafraid to play at full speed and full volume. Known for their electrifying live presence, Lost Society channels an intensity that resonates through every riff and every beat. As frontman Samy Elbanna has said, “We pour our blood into the music, stay focused on the music, and always aim to give 100%.”
Between 2014 and 2016, the band released two more studio albums that revealed a deeper, darker, and more mature sound. Their songwriting began to reflect on themes of social unrest and the disillusionment of a generation in search of something better. In 2020, their fourth album No Absolution climbed to number four on the Official Finnish Charts within its first week of release. This evolution continued in 2022 with If the Sky Came Down, which rose to number three on the national album chart and number two on the physical sales chart in Finland.
Summer 2025 the band dropped new single ” Dead People Scare Me ( But Living Make Me Sick )”
