Born in Taiwan in 1997, Asking Gee is a visual artist and VJ based in Los Angeles, California. She has over nine years of experience working in the music and visual media industries, focusing on projects for international audiences.

Specializing in VJ performance and concert visual direction, Gee made a landmark appearance at Coachella in 2024 as the live VJ for Grammy-winning R&B artist Victoria Monét, joining her for tours across North America and in London. Since 2021, she has collaborated with globally renowned artists such as Alesso, Yellow Claw, Gareth Emery, and Knock2, bringing her visual storytelling to major electronic music festivals including EDC, Ultra, Creamfields, Lost Lands, Beyond Wonderland, and Parookaville. In parallel with her international career, Gee remains deeply connected to Taiwan’s live music scene. She has served as visual director, designer, and operator for a wide range of concerts by artists such as ØZI, Flesh Juicer, CHTHONIC, Amazing Show, and Cosmos People. Her practice also extends into music video direction, with notable works including “Flying Walking,” RayRay’s “Wide Awake,” Cosmos People’s “Uh,” and multiple videos for rapper Trout Fresh.

For Gee, visual design is a natural extension of her lifelong relationship with music. Gee’s signature style is defined by sleek forms, minimalist structure, and commanding presence, always in close dialogue with the rhythms and textures of sound. With roots in music and a broad engagement across artistic disciplines, she brings an intuitive sensibility to the relationship between audio and image. Her work reflects a fusion of perspectives, drawing on diverse creative logics to construct a visual language that is both contemporary and emotionally resonant.
