Soac is a Taiwanese culinary creator and TV host who won the Golden Bell Award for Best Variety Show Host for the program Double Chef Mission in 2015. He currently co-hosts Tang Qiyang’s Astrology Private Kitchen and the food series Sea Flavors No. 61, and consults widely on food culture. His publications include two cookbooks, On the Table: Western Home Cooking with Friends and Soac’s Taiwanese Cuisine: Fifty-Four Home Recipes. During the pandemic in 2020, Soac’s Taiwanese Cuisine was publicly recommended on social media by President Tsai Ing-Wen. His YouTube channel “Soac’s Kitchen Lab” has amassed hundreds of thousands of subscribers.

In recent years, Soac has focused on everyday Taiwanese home cooking. His style is relaxed but precise, and his culinary projects are built around simplifying recipes so anyone can cook delicious food at home. For F:F:F, he brings dishes shaped by Taiwan’s landscapes and seasons to share the island’s abundant flavors with audiences in Finland.
